An Academy team went to the 2012 European Championships at Lignano, Italy, near Venice. We brought home medals in hand forms, weapons, san shao and pushing hands.

Grandmaster Wu Kwong Yu visited London. He gave exciting news about official recognition of the Wu family style of Tai Chi by the Chinese authorities. During a 4 day course, he taught new San Shou routines of his devising.

In November, a team from the Academy made a successful trip to the Dutch Open competition in Amsterdam.

On June 7th we ran the second London Competition for Traditional Tai Chi Chuan in conjunction with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain Judges Programme. The results and gallery have been published.

Sifu Gary Wragg took on a group of Closed Door students in a ceremony. This is a modernised version of the tradition of discipleship, recognising the commitment between teacher and dedicated students.

A group from the Academy went to the Tai Chi European Championships in Sweden, where Nicole Lomas and Stefanie Sachsenmaier contributed heavily to the UK medal tally.

Following a series of summer lessons by Stefanie Sachsenmaier, Steffi and Richard demonstrated Tai Chi at Mind Open Day in Bow.

We celebrated National Tai Chi Day in London Fields park.

On June 7th we organised the inaugural London Competition for Traditional Tai Chi Chuan in conjunction with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain Judges Programme. The results have been published. A lot of work went into a very successful competition, which is sure to be repeated next year.

Club members, disciples and friends of the International Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan Federation celebrated together as Grandmaster (Eddie) Wu Kwong Yu officially opened the new home of Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy, London (UK) in Bethnal Green, on Saturday 22nd October 2005.

Third European Championships in St Petersburg, Russia. 39-31 October 2004. Toby Wragg silver medalist in restricted step pushing hands and Sifu Gary Wragg silver medalist in Wu style form - experts category.
