Judges’ Seminar Bursary 2011
Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy London, Bethnal Green, is offering two bursaries for the series of Judges Seminars taking place in 2011, which will allow two individual Tai Chi practitioners to take part in this year’s series of masterclasses free of charge.
The completion of the series will lead to a qualification as an official judge in the given forms. Each new judge will be invited to gain experience in judging at the London Competition for Traditional Tai Chi Chuan, which takes place on 12 June 2011 in Hackney, London. (Trainee judges will still be able to compete if they wish!)
The theme of the Judges Seminars in 2011 will be the spear and fan forms, with masterclasses in different Tai Chi styles led by some of the UK’s top teachers. For the schedule and more information see the main judging page.
Conditions for application:
The bursary is open to Tai Chi practitioners who are registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and who have not taken part in the Judges Seminar Programme so far. Each applicant has to guarantee to be able to attend at least three of the five Judges Seminars, which will be held at Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy in London, Bethnal Green.
In order to apply for the bursary, please send a letter of motivation, also stating your experience in Tai Chi Chuan, to email@example.com by 18th January 2011. All applicants will be notified by 20th January 2011.
The aim of the Judges Seminars is to train the next generation of judges at national as well as international level. If you enjoy competing to fair standards of judging, we encourage your participation in and contribution to this programme.
